Video MTL, a camera rental and Service Company based in Montreal, has acquired 24 Panasonic AW-HE 100N cameras from Omega Broadcast. With this acquisition, Video MTL is now one of the largest suppliers of this HD camera for reality shows.

With this acquisition, Video MTL is now one of the largest suppliers of this type of camera, for reality shows production.

                                   

The camera

The Panasonic AW-HE100 integrated HD-SD camera offers outstanding broadcast-quality video with smooth pan-tilt zoom operation and easy system configuration.  Featuring an elegant ergonomic design, the HE100 has a True Servo pan-tilt head that provides precise, fast and fluid movement, with an exceptional range of 350° pan and 250° tilt. For applications that require a high-definition robotic camera solution, the HE100 is designed to be easily integrated into houses, classrooms, hotels, auditoriums and sports venues as well as for use in videoconferencing, broadcast and event production. 

 

 

Technical specifications for reality shows

VMTL offers the essential equipment for reality show production. All cameras are mounted on telescopic pedestals and linked with fiber optics enabling remote control of the cameras. VMTL operates with 30 Blackmagic fiber optic converters and 30 open gear Blackmagic fiber optic cards.

 

VMTL works with a single Crestron CP2 system that allows simultaneous management of all cameras from one screenonly, with a tps-4500 touch screen for the CCU and aCPC-2000 joy stick control for the pan-tilt. VMTL also uses a HarrisPlatinum routing system with 48 digital inputs, 48 analogue inputs and 2 Centriomulti-display systems for a total of 64 monitoring windows displayed on four 50 inch plasma screens with 9 remote panels. More than 39 000 feet of cable or 10 000 feet of fiber optics are usually required for this type of installation.
